Since its inception in 1966, The Prism has established a tradition of featuring the highest caliber performers of traditional music (predominately Bluegrass, Old Time, World and Acoustic Blues) in an intimate setting, and with strong ties to the local music community, the University of Virginia, and to a regular roster of local volunteers. For almost three decades, the Prism has been a 501c3 non-profit organization.
