Prism Coffeehouse Stage at First Night Virginia
The Prism Coffeehouse, in partnership with First Night Virginia is proud to host the Prism Coffeehouse Stage at First United Methodist Church (101 E Jefferson St, Charlottesville, VA 22902). The evening show features The Honey Dewdrops & The Deanes.
The Deanes Bluegrass Gospel Band has been singing for over 25 years. Eddie Deane (banjo, vocals), Tina Deane (vocals), Jordan Deane (mandolin, lead guitar, vocals), Larry Deane (mandolin, vocals), Chris Kite (vocals, rhythm guitar), Debra Kite (vocals) Samantha & Jacob Kite (vocals), Keith Clark (bass, vocals) and special guest David Coffey (piano, dobro, vocals) are the current band members who love doing gospel bluegrass for the local community.
The Deanes will perform first at 8:45 pm, and again at 10 pm.
The Honey Dewdrops Maryland-based roots duet Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish blend new Americana and traditional folk music, creating inspired songs rooted in the experience of real people. With music that covers the ground-between hand crafted folk songs, Appalachian fiddle tunes, and a cappella spirituals, every song shines with energy and emotion through intimate performances accomplished with a handful of acoustic instruments and tightly layered harmonies.
The Honey Dewdrops will perform first at 6:15 pm, and again at 7:30 pm.
